The Meaning of Hineni
"Hineni" — Hebrew for "Here am I."
Hineni is not a slogan. It is an ethos born of a response.
Hineni Tactical is rooted in the life of Ladsi Weltner, a Hungarian Jewish man living under Nazi rule during the Holocaust and the Second World War. Before the war, Ladsi lived with his family, owners of a ranch that dealt in horses. There, he learned to ride.
Unarmed, and with everything to lose, he rode on horseback into the death lines deep within the forests of Eastern Europe. Disguised as a soldier, he pulled Jews from the lines moments before execution. By providing them with forged documents, Ladsi gave his fellow Jews a chance at life. He returned again and again, doing all he could to save one more — not because he was ordered to, but because he believed he was responsible to try.
Ladsi never spoke of himself as a hero.
He sought no recognition for his actions.
After the war, he lived quietly, carrying what he had done without ceremony.
Only those he'd saved knew the cost of his choice.
This image is the real man this company's symbol is based on.
